The best and worst of the battery in the iPhone 14 – One of the biggest problems with Apple mobiles has always been autonomy. Which users have expressed disagreement about due to the few hours of use it offers. With the previous generation, this inconvenience seemed to be diluted, and with the appearance of the iPhone 14, even more so, since the capacities of its batteries have come to light.

It is well known that the American company never offers details about the power of these, but it is not the first time that the community has managed to reveal this feature. This time it has been through a Chinese certification platform, which has listed the respective capabilities of the four models.

The iPhone 14 Battery Without Secrets

Without a doubt, the battery is one of the main improvements of the iPhone 14 family. Since all its members have improved their predecessors in terms of autonomy. The iPhone 14 Plus has become the brand’s base smartphone with the most significant capacity in its history, or at least that’s what Apple justified during the presentation. Now we can verify this information with the data from the regulator as mentioned earlier, which states the following:

  • iPhone 14: 3,279mAh
  • iPhone 14 Plus: 4,325mAh
  • iPhone 14 Pro: 3,200mAh
  • iPhone 14 Pro Max: 4,323mAh

This is a big step from last year’s generation on all models. Starting with the 3,227 mAh of the iPhone 13 that has become 3,279 mAh with the current one. The iPhone 14 Pro reaches 3,200 mAh compared to 3,095 mAh of the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 14 Plus and Pro Max dominate. This aspect with 4,325 and 4,323 mAh respectively. However, the king in terms of battery is still the iPhone 13 Pro Max with 4,352 mAh, so this year this version has experienced a decrease in its capacity, although the energy efficiency of the A16 Bionic chip makes better use of its duration.

Fast Charging Doesn’t cut it

We do not find a significant growth in the fast charging of the iPhone 14. Which has given much to talk about during the latest Apple releases. Specifically, the iPhone 13 Pro Max supports fast charging of up to 27W to go from 0 to 100% power in about two hours with a 30W charger.

The latest reports on the iPhone 14 line do not show an improvement; they have all used the Chinese certification platform to make their data known. This has confirmed that the charging power of these models remains at 29W. Likewise, the Pro Max variant takes around two hours on a 30W charger.

150W Mobile Charging

A few weeks ago many leaks pointed to the arrival of a 35W charger for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. Which would allow the charging speed to  increased to have them ready sooner. This is just a rumour, so don’t take any of this for granted. For the moment, we can be satisfied with the battery improvement. Who knows if next year will be the blow on Apple’s table for fast charging?
